
Richland Collects Five All-America Honors
NJCAA DIII MEN'S SOCCER ALL-AMERICANS
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Richland men's soccer's Joseph Min, Valerio Del Mastro and Emmanuel Carmona were named National Junior College Athletic Association Division III First Team All-Americans.
Thunderducks teammates Jose Diaz and Enrique Alvarez received Second Team All-America honors.
A sophomore forward from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Minn was voted the Dallas Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player. He was a First Team All-DAC selection. He scored 18 goals, including six game winners, and had nine assists for 45 points. Min recorded two hat tricks this season, and finished with a career-high seven points in a win at Dallas College Mountain View. He had five multi-goal games.
A sophomore defender from Rome, Italy, Del Mastro was voted the DAC Defensive Player of the Year. He was named to the First Team All-DAC. Del Mastro scored five goals, and had one assist for 11 points. He recorded two gamewinning goals. He helped the Thunderducks lock down six shutouts.
A sophomore from Toluca, Mexico, Carmona was named the DAC Goalkeeper of the Year. He was a First Team All-DAC selection. He had a 0.74 goals against average, recording nine shutouts, while stopping 48 shots. Carmona made 10 saves in a shutout of Mountain View.
A freshman forward from Houston, Diaz was named the DAC Newcomer of the Year. He was a First Team All-DAC selection. He scored eight goals, and had an assist for 17 points. He had two gamewinning goals, and also recorded a hat trick against Mountain View. He had two goals in a win over Dallas College Cedar Valley.
A sophomore midfielder from Dripping Springs, Texas, Alvarez earned First Team All-DAC recognition. He had seven goals and nine assists for 23 points. He registered a goal and at least one assist in five games. Diaz had two assists in two games.
