DALLAS – Dallas College Richland men's soccer team shut out Milennia Atlantic University, 2-0, Tuesday.
It was the fifth shutout of the season for the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 1-ranked Thunderducks, who improved to 6-1-0.
Joseph Min scored his eighth goal of the season in the 17th minute to give the Thunderducks a 1-0 lead. Enrique Alvarez had the assist.
Richland tacked on another goal 10:00 into the second half when Pier Scavelli scored his first goal as a Thunderduck. Alvarez drew another assist on the play.
Goalkeeper Emmanuel Carmona (6-1-0) had two saves in the shutout. It was his fourth shutout of the year.
Richland put seven of its 13 shots on goal.
The Thunderducks play at Dallas College Cedar Valley next Wednesday in the second round of Dallas Athletic Conference play.
