DALLAS – Dallas College Richland's top-ranked men's soccer team shut out Paul Quinn College, 3-0, Thursday.
Ranked No. 1 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, the six-time defending national champion Thunderducks picked up their first shutout of the season against the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics program.
Joseph Min scored the first two goals of the game, notching the game winner in the 25th minute on an assist from Julian Vega. Min scored again 10 minutes into the second half on a setup from Mazin Saeed.
Min has scored two goals in each of the first two games this season.
Giuseppe Costantino added an unassisted goal in the 83rd minute.
Richland goalkeeper Emmanuel Carmona had one save.
The Thunderducks (2-0-0) will host Western Texas College Sept. 16. The first Dallas Athletic Conference game is Sept. 18 at home against Dallas College Cedar Valley.
