Richland Athletics Set to Open Fall Seasons Aug. 18
Dallas College Richland will open the fall athletics season Thursday, Aug. 18.
Richland women's soccer team kicks off the season at home versus Jarvis Christian University 6 p.m. Aug. 18. The Thunderducks play at the University of Texas at Dallas Aug. 21. They host Johnson County Community College Aug. 26 before beginning a four-game road trip.
The Thunderducks will play four of their six games in September on the road, beginning with a meeting at Ranger College Sept. 6 before getting into conference play.
Richland opens Dallas Athletic Conference action at Dallas College Brookhaven Sept. 16. The Thunderducks host Dallas College North Lake Sept. 23 in the first DAC home game. Richland closes the conference schedule in a home game against Dallas College Cedar Valley Oct. 18.
Richland's volleyball team will host Victoria College Aug. 19 in the season opener at 5 p.m. The following day, the Thunderducks meet Victoria again at Dallas College North Lake. After a road game at North Central Texas College Aug. 25, the Thunderducks return home to play Coastal Bend College Aug. 27.
Richland will compete in the Vernon College Classic Sept. 2-3. The Thunderducks will meet Western Texas College, Amarillo College and Vernon College at the tournament. They will compete in the Blinn Volleyball Invitational Sept. 16-17.
The Thunderducks open DAC play Sept. 19 at home against Cedar Valley. They play at North Lake Sept. 22 in the first league road match. Richland will close the regular season at Dallas College Mountain View Oct. 20.
Richland's men's soccer team will open the regular season 6 p.m. Aug. 20 in a neutral site matchup with Louisiana State University-Eunice at the University of Texas at Tyler. The Thunderducks' home opener is Aug. 26 against Coastal Bend.
The Thunderducks will have four home games in September, beginning with Dodge City Community College on Sept. 2. Richland hosts Dallas College Mountain View Sept. 21 in the DAC opener. The first road conference game is Sept. 28 at Cedar Valley.
Richland will host Cedar Valley Oct. 19 to conclude the DAC schedule. The Thunderducks host Arlington Baptist on Oct. 21 to close the regular season.
