Bio
Will Maddox was named an assistant coach with Dallas College Richland women's soccer team in May 2024.
Maddox served as the boys varsity coach at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas from 2014-17. There, his team won the District 11-5A championship in 2016, while earning District Coach of the Year honors that season. His teams qualified for the playoffs in each of his three seasons at the helm.
From 2009-11, Maddox was an assistant coach at Luther College, an NCAA Division III program in Decorah, Iowa. During that time, he also coached at Postville Senior High School in Postville, Iowa, for a season in 2011. Prior to his time in Iowa, he was the graduate assistant coach at Trinity University in San Antonio.
Maddox was a defender at Trinity from 2004-08, where his team made four NCAA Division III Tournaments while winning the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference each year. He earned Academic All-Region recognition in 2007 on a team that advanced to the national championship.
Maddox earned a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from Trinity in 2008. He earned a Master of Arts in teaching from Trinity in 2009. He is a senior editor for D Magazine.
