Elliott Named DAC Defensive Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Richland's Paige Elliott was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

A freshman goalkeeper from Rowlett, Texas, Elliott made five saves in a 0-0 tie with No. 2 Dallas College Brookhaven. She also had two saves in a second shutout for the week when the No. 5 nationally-ranked Thunderducks beat Dallas College Eastfield.

Elliott (2-0-1) has not allowed a goal in 315 minutes between the posts this season.

Richland, which moved up to No. 3 in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association Division III rankings, following an 8-0 shutout at Dallas College Mountain View Sunday night to improve to 5-0-2 overall, 4-0-1 in the DAC, will host Dallas College Cedar Valley (7-3-0, 3-2-0) to begin the second half of conference play 6 p.m. Tuesday.
