DALLAS – Dallas College Richland's No. 5 nationally-ranked women's soccer team came into its game Tuesday, looking to stay perfect in the Dallas Athletic Conference in its matchup with defending national champion Dallas College Brookhaven.
But a feisty, physical battle dictated by defense resulted in a scoreless draw for the two National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Top 5 teams.
The Thunderducks (3-0-2, 2-0-1 DAC) knew coming into this game that the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Top-5 matchup would be nothing short of a dogfight, and a dogfight it was.
Freshman goalkeeper Paige Elliott and company kept the No. 2 team in the country from scoring, limiting the Bears to five shots on goal.
