No. 4 Thunderducks Host No. 1 Brookhaven Tuesday in Rematch of 1-1 Tie
Dallas College Richland's No. 4 nationally-ranked women's soccer team hosts No. 1 Dallas College Brookhaven 6 p.m. Tuesday in a rematch of the two unbeaten Dallas Athletic Conference teams.
Ranked in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, the two teams battled to a 1-1 tie to open the league schedule on Sept. 16. Both schools have rolled through the first half of conference play, each winning the next four matches. Richland (4-3-1, 4-0-1 DAC) is coming off a pair of shutouts to Dallas College Eastfield and Dallas College Cedar Valley last week.
In the first meeting between the two schools, Richland goalkeeper Ilce Miranda stopped 23 shots. Marisol Ortiz scored the game's first goal -- an unassisted winner in the 21st minute.
The top team in the DAC will host the conference tournament Oct. 26-29.
