Richland Men's Soccer Hosts NJCAA DIII South District Tournament Thursday-Friday

DALLAS – Dallas College Richland men's soccer team will host the three-team National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District Tournament Thursday and Friday.

This marks the first year the Dallas Athletic Conference will host an NJCAA district tournament. Richland, which has won the last six national championships, was the automatic district champion last year after winning the DAC regular season title. The previous two years, the Thunderducks won district titles in Illinois.

Second-seeded Dallas College Cedar Valley meets third seed Dallas College Mountain View in Thursday's 12 p.m. semifinal. The two teams tied 1-1 in both of the regular season matches between the two teams.

Richland, which won all four conference games to earn the top seed, will play the semifinal winner in Friday's 6 p.m. championship game.  

The champion will advance to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament Nov. 12-17 in Batavia, New York.
