DALLAS -- Dallas College Richland's National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 1-ranked men's soccer team plays a marquee match Tuesday when the Thunderducks take on NJCAA Division I No. 7-ranked Tyler Junior College on the road.
Kickoff is 7 p.m.
Prior to this year, the Thunderducks (6-2-1) were riding a 75-game unbeaten streak where they were 72-0-3 under Head coach Raul Herrera and assistant coaches Alberto Rodriguez and Alejandro Radilla.
During that streak, Richland had not lost a game since Sept. 25, 2018 – a 2-1 setback to their upcoming opponent, Tyler Junior College, which boasts a 9-1-1 record this year.
Richland, which is 3-0-0 in the Dallas Athletic Conference, will play its final league game Oct. 18 at Dallas College Cedar Valley (4-7-2, 1-1 DAC). The last regular season home game is scheduled for Oct. 20 against Paris Junior College (3-1-7).
After the Thunderducks' regular season concludes, the focus shifts to the postseason. Richland will be looking to capture the school's sixth straight NJCAA DIII men's soccer national title.
