DALLAS – Dallas College Richland men's basketball team beat Dallas College Eastfield 84-51 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District semifinals Thursday night.
Richland (20-10) will play Dallas College Mountain View (14-18) for the district championship 3 p.m. Saturday in Thunderducks Gym. TSBN will broadcast the game. The Thunderducks advanced to the championship for the third straight year.
Richland built a 42-14 lead by halftime, and never looked back.
Mannie Odo scored 15 of his 18 points in the second half. Nehemiah Jones and Barack Holland each finished with 13 points. Trey Wright had 11. Eastfield's Devin Holmes had 18 points, with all but two coming in the second half.
The Harvester Bees finished 8-22 under first-year coach Byron Rimm.
The Thunderducks' last district championship came in 2021.
