Richland Men's Hoops to Host South Central District Tourney Thursday-Saturday
DALLAS -- Dallas College Richland men's basketball team will host the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Tournament Thursday-Saturday.
The Thunderducks won the Dallas Athletic Conference regular season title, and will earn a bye in Tuesday's quarterfinal round at Dallas College Brookhaven. Richland will play the lowest remaining seed in Thursday's 6 p.m. semifinals. Dallas College North Lake will also have a quarterfinal bye and play the highest remaining seed in the 8 p.m. semifinal.
Brookhaven hosts Dallas College Eastfield 6 p.m. Tuesday in the first quarterfinal. Dallas College Cedar Valley will meet Dallas College Mountain View in the 8 p.m. quarterfinal at Brookhaven.
The championship game is set for 3 p.m. Saturday at Richland. The district champion will advance to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament March 12-15 in Herkimer, New York.
North Lake won last year's district title.

Tournament passes for admittance to all games will be sold for $20. Adults single-day passes are $8. Students and children under 18 single-day passes are $5. Children under 6 are free. Dallas College students and staff with current IDs are free. Tournament programs will be sold for $2.
