No. 10 Thunderducks Win 10th Game, Take on No. 13 Blazers Wednesday

DALLAS – Dallas College Richland men's basketball team won its 10th game of the season Saturday, beating Dallas College Eastfield, 81-59.

The 10th-ranked Thunderducks (10-6, 4-0 Dallas Athletic Conference) will take its unbeaten league record into Wednesday's 6 p.m. tipoff at No. 13 Dallas College North Lake (5-11, 3-1) to end the first round of conference action. That game will air on the Blazers Network.

Three starters scored in double figures for Richland in Saturday's win – the Thunderducks' fourth in a row and second in which they've scored 81 points. Mannie Odo had 17 points on 7 of 11 shooting, and six rebounds. Cedric Dent and Nehemiah Jones each had 10 points. Cjay Ingram had nine points, nine assists, seven rebounds and two steals. Barack Holland added eight points, four rebounds and a block to complete a balanced starting lineup point production effort.

Trey Wright had 13 points, going 5-for-7 from the free throw line, and Elijah Brown made every shot he attempted from the field and free throw line to finish with eight points off the bench.

The Thunderducks shot 64.6 percent from the field. The Harvester Bees (2-13, 1-3) hit 47.8 percent of their shots.

Delkedric Holmes finished with 25 points and six steals for Eastfield. He went 10 of 18 from the floor, including 4 of 8 from long distance. Devin Holmes had 12 points, and Reggie McDonald had 11 for the Bees.

Richland had 23 assists. Eastfield finished with seven.
