Washington Selected for NJCAA All-Star Game

NJCAA All-STAR GAME

DALLAS – Dallas College Richland's Taven Washington has been invited to play in the National Junior College Athletic Association All-Star Game by the Junior College Basketball Coaches Association May 18 in Las Vegas.

The game, featuring selections from all three NJCAA divisions, will be played at The Orleans Arena 4 p.m. May 18.

A 6-foot-4 sophomore guard from Frisco, Texas, Washington was an NJCAA Division III Second Team All-American. He averaged 19.1 points per game, while shooting 52 percent and grabbing seven rebounds as the Thunderducks went 16-9 overall, 8-2 in the Dallas Athletic Conference with an appearance in the NJCAA South Central District title game.

Twenty seven players from all three NJCAA divisions will compete in the all-star game, including two NJCAA Players of the Year, 11 NJCAA First Team All-Americans and 23 NJCAA All-Americans.
