Washington Named DAC Offensive Player of Year, Richland Collects Three Honors

DALLAS – Dallas College Richland men's basketball's Taven Washington was voted the Dallas Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year. He was also named First Team All-DAC.

Cjay Ingram and Tre'Lin Green were named Second Team All-DAC.

Washington, a 6-foot-4 sophomore guard from Frisco, Texas, led the conference in scoring (19.1), while shooting 52 percent from the field. He averaged seven rebounds and 1.1 steals, and was a 36.8 percent three-point and 73.1 percent free throw shooter. Washington scored a career-high 30 points on 10 of 13 shooting in a win over Dallas College Mountain View Feb. 14.

A 6-2 freshman from Kilgore, Texas, Ingram averaged eight points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals. He shot 48.7 percent from the floor and 72.4 percent from the free throw line. Ingram scored a season-high 15 points, going 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District semifinal win over Dallas College Eastfield.

A 5-9 freshman guard from Lewisville, Texas, Green averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 assists and 2.1 steals. He shot 36 percent from the field and 64 percent from the free throw line. Green had a season-high 18 points in a win over Tribulation Prep Dec. 6.
