Richland Races by Brookhaven, 92-62

DALLAS – Dallas College Richland's men's basketball team dashed out to a 21-point halftime lead, and coasted to a 92-62 win over Dallas College Brookhaven Saturday.

The Thunderducks, ranked ninth in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, built a 45-24 lead in the first 20 minutes, and never were tested the rest of the way.

Four players scored in double figures for Richland (13-8, 6-2 Dallas Athletic Conference). Taven Washington had 20 points on 8 of 12 shooting, and grabbed eight rebounds. Nehemiah Jones had a season-high 12 points and eight boards, and hit five of six field goals. Mannie Odo scored a season-best 11 points on 4 of 5 shooting, and had a block and a steal. Jamille Barnett had 10 points, five rebounds and a steal.

Cjay Ingram had nine points, five rebounds, a block and a steal. Tre'Lin Green finished with eight points, five rebounds and four assists.

The Thunderducks hit 33 of 68 field goals for 48.5 percent. They were 25 of 31 from the free throw line.

Richland plays at Dallas College Cedar Valley 6 p.m. Wednesday before hosting Dallas College Eastfield 1 p.m. Saturday in the final regular season game.
