Thunderducks Men's Basketball Open Season Nov. 3
DALLAS – Dallas College Richland men's basketball team will open the season Nov. 3 at Murray State College.
The Thunderducks, which went 15-11 overall, 6-4 in the Dallas Athletic Conference, advancing to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Championship last season, will host Southwest Assemblies of God University Junior Varsity Nov. 7 in the home opener. That is the first of four home games in the nine-game opening-month portion of the schedule.
Richland also hosts Collin County Community College Nov. 15 and Hill College Nov. 28. The latter of those two games will complete a home-and-home with Hill during the season. The former of those two is the first of a home-and-home, which will be completed when the Thunderducks head to Collin County to open December.
The Thunderducks are scheduled to play three games in December – only the Dec. 6 contest versus Tribulation Prep at home. Richland will then break for the holidays until returning Jan. 9 to host the University of Arkansas Cossatot.
Richland opens the DAC schedule Jan. 20 at home against defending league champion Dallas College North Lake. The first league road game is Jan. 24 at Dallas College Mountain View. The Thunderducks close the month at home against Dallas College Cedar Valley.
The Thunderducks will play three of their six DAC games in February at home, including the regular season finale against Dallas College Eastfield Feb. 24.
The NJCAA Division III South Central District is scheduled for Feb. 27-March 2.
