LAS VEGAS – Dallas College Richland's Ed Trahan finished with four points and four rebounds in the National Junior College Athletic Association Men's Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game at Orleans Arena in the South All-Stars' 103-100 win over the North All-Stars.

He was 2 of 4 from the floor.

"I thought Ed represented Dallas College and Dallas College Richland well in the NJCAA All-Star Game," Thunderducks head coach Jon Havens said. "Being selected to play in the prestigious NJCAA All-Star Game is an incredible accomplishment. Only six players from the NJCAA Division III level are selected each year, and his performance throughout the year earned him this opportunity."

Players from all three divisions of the NJCAA competed in the All-Star Game. Some of those players are headed to NCAA Division I Power 5 programs. Dallas College North Lake's Darion Jones also competed in the game.

Trahan, a 6-foot-5 sophomore forward from Cypress, Texas, earned NJCAA Honorable Mention All-America honors after averaging 15.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.

He has attracted the attention of a few NCAA Division II schools.

"Ed did what he does well in the game," Havens said. "He scores the ball when given opportunities, and rebounds. Ed was named an All-American for a reason, and it was great to see him get the recognition for his body of work. I am just really proud of the person and player that Ed is, and excited for his future going forward."
