Trahan to Compete in NJCAA All-Star Game Saturday

Dallas College Richland's Ed Trahan will compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association Men's Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

Players from all three NJCAA Divisions will compete in the All-Star Game. Dallas College North Lake's Darion Jones was also named an All-Star. Trahan and Jones will represent the South All-Stars.

A 6-foot-5 sophomore forward from Cypress, Texas, Trahan received NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American and First Team All-Dallas Athletic Conference honors. He averaged 15.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game, and shot 57.7 percent from the floor and 72.2 percent from the free throw line. Trahan scored in double figures in 19 games, and recorded 13 double-doubles.

Trahan was named the NJCAA Division III National Player of the Week Feb. 16.
