Trahan Selected for NJCAA All-Star Game May 20

Dallas College Richland's Ed Trahan was selected to play in the National Junior College Athletic Association Men's Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game May 20 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.

The NJCAA All-Star Game is compilation of some of the nation's top junior college players from all three divisions.

A 6-foot-5 sophomore forward from Cypress, Texas, Trahan was an NJCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-American and First Team All-Dallas Athletic Conference selection this season.

He averaged 15.7 points and 9.1 rebounds and one steal per game, while shooting 57.7 percent from the field and 72.2 percent from the free throw line. He scored in double figures in 19 games, and had 13 double-doubles.

Trahan was selected as the NJCAA Division III National Player of the Week Feb. 16.

Dallas College North Lake guard Darion Jones was also selected for the All-Star Game.
