Robinson Named NJCAA DIII Pitcher of Week

Dallas College Richland baseball's Damian Robinson was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Pitcher of the Week.

A freshman right-handed pitcher from Angleton, Texas, Robinson gave up one run, none earned, four hits and three walks, and struck out a season-high nine batters in seven innings to pick up the win as the Thunderducks beat North Lake, 6-3, Friday.

Robinson bumped his record to 5-2 with one save and 46 strikeouts in 28.2 innings of work. He owns a 2.93 earned run average, and has recorded 25 strikeouts in 15.1 innings during Dallas Athletic Conference play this season.

No. 9 Richland (29-18, 17-7 DAC) is scheduled to host RV Dallas College Cedar Valley (33-16, 13-11) at 2 p.m. Thursday in Game 1 of a three-game series.
