Fratus, Robinson Named DAC Players of Week

Dallas College Richland's Jadon Fratus and Damian Robinson were selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week. Fratus was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Robinson was chosen as the Pitcher of the Week.

A sophomore designated hitter/first baseman from Beaumont, Texas, Fratus batted .714, going 10-for-14 with four home runs, 10 runs batted in, two doubles, seven runs scored and a walk as National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 12 Richland swept a three-game series from Dallas College North Lake. Fratus had multiple hits in each of the three games, and crushed two home runs in both of the final two games of the series at North Lake.

He is hitting .406 with nine home runs, 13 doubles, a triple, 38 RBI, an .844 slugging percentage and a 1.344 on-base plus slugging percentage.

A freshman from Angleton, Texas Robinson allowed one unearned run, four hits and three walks, and struck out a season-high nine batters in seven innings of work to earn the win as the Thunderducks beat the Blazers, 6-3, Friday.

Robinson improved to 5-2 with one save and 46 strikeouts in 28.2 innings of work. He has a 2.93 earned run average and 25 strikeouts over 15.1 innings of conference play this year.

Richland (29-18, 17-7 DAC) will host Dallas College Cedar Valley (31-16, 13-11) at noon Wednesday to begin a three-game series.
